I performed at the Biz Bash Event Style Show last week in New York City. I haven't done this show in a few years and I was presently suprised to see such a great turn out! I was rocking out from start to finish! It was great to meet alot of planners from the NYEP group and to see alot planners & colleauges I haven't see in a while. My friend Jill Nicolini from CW11 morning news was reporting live from the DJ CHEF booth interviewing planners as we filimed all the action! Here's some photos below. DJ CHEF is the holiday party king.....OK well maybe not in those words--- but being featured in Agenda Magazine's Holiday Preview is an honor....Corporate holiday parties as we know can be quite a big deal. Companies tend to go all out and bring in the best of the best to show their hard working employees and valued clients their appreciation at years end. DJ AM & TRAVIS BARKER'S PLANE CRASHES LAST NITE

Thoughts & prayers today for DJ AM, Travis Barker & their families as their private jet crashed last night in South Carolina. The reports are saying Travis' assistant, the pilot and crew members died and AM & Travis are in critical condition. Here's more info from TMZ.com:

Travis Barker and DJ AM were passengers on plane that crashed, critically injuring them and killing four others. The jet was departing from a South Carolina airport.Travis was taken by ambulance to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, GA and is in critical but stable condition. DJ AM, real name Adam Michael Goldstein, was airlifted to the burn center and is also in critical but stable condition. Barker had performed Friday night with Perry Farrell, Gavin DeGraw and DJ AM. It has not been confirmed if Farrell and DeGraw were also traveling on the same jet.
A FAA spokesperson said the plane carrying six people attempted to take off shortly before midnight Friday from Columbia, South Carolina when people in the tower report seeing sparks. They said the plane went off the runway and crashed on a highway embankment, catching fire.

I just signed on to perform at the New England Bar & Nightlife Show at the Twin River Casino in Rhode Island. I like doing these events because it's basically a trade show for the event industry and you get to see all the latest trends, new companies, products and mix & mingle with the movers in shakers in the biz and network with fellow event industry colleagues. I performed for the opening of the Autoseum at Cradle of Aviation in Garden City yesterday. I was very cool. The "Kustom Car King" George Barrish was displaying all his famous star & movie cars; the original Batmobile from the " Batman" TV show; General Lee from "The Dukes of Hazzard"; K.I.T.T. from "Knight Rider"; the Monkeemobile from "The Monkees"; the Ford Grand Torino from "Starsky and Hutch"; and the "Drag-U-La" from "The Munsters." Original cars from the movies include the Ecto-1 from "Ghostbusters," James Bond's Aston-Martin DB5 from "Goldfinger"; the Triple X cars from "XXX" starring Vin Diesel and "XXX: State of the Union" with Ice Cube and Samuel Jackson; and the van from "Scooby Doo."

Hey DJ CHEF here with my first blog entry! I just got back from the Toronto Hot & Spicy Food Festival. Diana and her staff there were awesome. It was too bad I had a private party in the Hamptons the next day or I would have loved to stayed the weekend. (The party in the Hamptons was alot of fun too though!) I got to check out the Hockey Hall of Fame and I touched the Stanley Cup! My hotel room had a great view of the CN Tower and the harbour. I will post the video from the morning show when I get it. I also received a phone call from a producer who saw me in the paper who wants to produce a TV show based on my cooking style! Stay tuned! ;-)
